Based at Bodyline Pimbura

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining Bodyline as an Executive Engineering based at Pimbura. This will be a great opportunity to facilitate optimal machinery management across via effective department budgeting, maintaining accurate inventory details, carrying out periodic audits to optimize capital and revenue expenditure. Further, assist the engineering head of the division through organizing, coordination and execution of special projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records on machine hiring, lending, borrowing and purchasing of machines so as to ensure strict internal controls, compliance & Business Process unit (BPU) guidelines are adhered to.
  • Maintain records on machine movements within all plants in order to maximize machine utilization and reduce machine rental.
  • Maintain records and co-ordinate the requirements and availability of spare parts and attachments for all plants to ensure smooth operations whilst minimizing overall costs.
  • Prepare the budget (Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expense (OPEX)) for all new machinery, spare parts, attachments, consumables, on an annual basis and acquire the best commercially and operationally feasible machinery.
  • Support engineering activities of Total Productive Maintenance, Quick Change Over, involving Team Leader and Group Leader standardization in order to ensure operational stability.
  • Co-ordinate with Autonomation team on Machine and attachment improvements, to identify opportunities to maximize Autonomation business impact.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-3 years’ work experience in the relevant field along with knowledge on IE.
  • Knowledge on MS Office packages.
  • Sound technical knowledge and skill on relevant areas.
  • Effective communication skills on Sinhala and English.
  • Knowledge on Apparel Engineering process and machinery.
