Join our Finance, Technology & Commercial enabling division that provides group finance, investment & assurance, financial sustainability, PMO & enablement, group technology, commercial and procurement functions to Transport for NSW. Reporting to the Group Chief Information Officer you will be an integral part of the Technology Leadership Team. In the Executive Director Programs role you will lead the Opal 2.0 program, our next generation of ticketing and bus solutions technology program which will directly contribute to improving customer and community outcomes, and bring Transport closer to our Connecting NSW strategy. You will be responsible for leading and managing the program’s governance, performance, financials, scheduling and quality and risk management. Important to note that this is currently Transport’s largest technology program of work, running at over $500m.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Owning the Opal 2.0 strategic roadmap and program planning, ensuring the development of this new ticketing system is aligned to the program’s strategy, business plan, architecture and delivery model.
Managing the program’s governance.
Leading the development and application end to end journey thinking to enable strong connection with our customer base.
Leading the adoption and implementation of program delivery standards and project controls.

About You
You are a tertiary qualified, experienced technology program manager looking for an opportunity to build a world class ticketing system within an organisation that is subject to high levels of public scrutiny:
You will have demonstrated experience at a high reliability organisation developing, leading, and driving large scale technology programs across a diverse, complex organisation.
You will have demonstrated experience in implementation of a large complex technology program strategy.
Having experience with ERP deployments, ticketing systems programs or complex project delivery would be highly desirable.
You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
You bring strong communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels.
You bring experience leading teams through change and setting team culture.
You bring a digital customer journey mindset.
You bring deep experience managing a large budget and commercial outcomes.
You are experienced in creating, delivering and maintaining clear outcomes focused technology program, delivery and governance frameworks across a large scale organisation.
You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
You are experienced in building, developing and leading high performing teams.
