- The Executive Director at the Merrimack Valley YMCA in Methuen is responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the successful operation and growth of the organization. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the YMCA's programs, services, and community engagement efforts, while fostering a culture of inclusivity, excellence, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans that align with the mission and goals of the Merrimack Valley YMCA.
- Oversee the management of financial resources, including budgeting, fundraising, and financial reporting, to ensure the organization's sustainability and growth.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors to enhance the YMCA's impact and reach within the Methuen community.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services that meet the needs of diverse populations, promoting health, wellness, and social responsibility.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, making data-driven decisions to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
- Represent the YMCA in public forums, advocating for community needs and promoting the organization's mission and values.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to YMCA policies and standards.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Required
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior management role within a nonprofit organization.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and development strategies.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
