MarketingCommercial & Field ExecutiveDirector will report to the General Manager and lead a Marketing and Sales field team focused on business optimization and patient-centered outcomes in the rare disease landscape, shaping the future of Marketing/commercialareas identifying new directions and solutionsThis role involves formulating and executing marketing and commercial strategic and tactical plans, fostering relationships with key stakeholders such as healthcare providers/prescribers, KOLs, and driving team performance to achieve growthobjectivesThis leader will also be responsible for fostering strong alignment between Marketing and Sales strategies to maximize resource efficiency and streamline activities. This leader will also collaborate and work closely with the Medical Affairs team and key support functions such as Patient Advocacy; Legal/Compliance; Finance; Pharmacovigilance; Supply Chain; Regulatory Affairs and Human Resources This leader is responsible for leading key strategic initiatives within function, sub-functionand departments, ensuring alignment with departmental and company goals.​

Work Model:

Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build and execute marketing and commercial/sales plans and strategies to support early and broad access to innovative therapies for rare diseases, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
  2. Lead, support and coach a high-performing Marketing and Sales Field Team, setting and exceeding performance expectations while fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and integrity.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers/prescribers, KOLs, distributors (if applicable) to drive patient treatment and adherence .
  4. Analyze market data to develop actionable marketing and commercial business plans to optimize growth opportunities, aligning both areas strategies and expected outcomes.
  5. Define and monitor key performance indicators across the patient journey, from diagnosis to treatment, ensuring cross-functional integration focused on seamless execution and measurable outcomes.
  6. Oversee the commercial pathway for product sales, managing channels and service providers while ensuring compliance with governance and company policies.
  7. Lead crossfunctional collaboration with GM, medical, and market access functions to address structural barriers to care and shape forwardlooking, patientcentric solutions that advance organizational objectives
  8. Develop, manage and makes critical decisions to the annual commercial business plan, sales budget, forecast exercises and financial objectives, continuously evaluating risks and opportunities to drive business success, bringing short, medium and long-term strategies to address trends, risks and commercial/marketing needs that impact the department and function performance.
  9. Lead efforts to educate and expand the healthcare provider community
  10. Champion innovation and influence organizational decision-making by recommending new approaches, conceptualizing strategic initiatives, and contributing to the company’s long-term vision.
  11. Navigates ambiguous situations across functional areas, assessing complex, less tangible factors and identifying core issues, providing strategic direction to the functional area.​
  12. Collaborates with executive leadership (XLT-1 or XLT-2) on matters impacting mid to long-term strategic goals, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.​
  13. Uses advanced communication and persuasion strategies to negotiate on behalf of their department or function on strategic matters. Provides clear direction to department and/or project teams to ensure successful completion of goals.​
  14. Lead and deploy a mix of resources to deliver on medium to large scale projects/initiatives across multiple departments, functions or for the broader organization.​
  15. Actively seek and foster external industry/networking connections while staying informed of emerging trends and developments within Brazilian scenario

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, life sciences, or related field; Master’s or MBA highly preferred.
  2. Minimum of 10-15 years of leadership managing teams, exceptional experience in commercial, marketing and field roles, preferably in high-cost specialty therapeutic areas, rare or ultra rare diseases or orphan drugs.
  3. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies and value propositions.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, drive change, and implement innovative solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  5. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainties and achieve results.
  6. Strong leadership and people management experience, proven ability to identify and harness business opportunities, and a deep commitment to operating with a patient-first focus.
  7. Outstanding relationship management skills, including experience collaborating with healthcare providers, KOLs, and cross-functional teams.
  8. Fluency in business English is required. Spanish – is good to have but not required.
  9. Advanced understanding of market, environment, commercial governance, and country-specific healthcare trends.
  10. Travel: (approximate 40-60%) to meet business needs, lead the team’s efforts and maintain stakeholder relationships.
