Macro provides liquidity and hedging solutions to Wells Fargo’s commercial, corporate, and institutional clients across Interest Rates (USD and Non-$), Fixed Income Structured Notes, Macro Financing, FX Markets (spot, forwards, swaps and options in G10 and EM currencies), and FX Payments (online portal and API integrations)

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director, Macro Rates Cash & IR Swap Product Owner to join the Macro (FX/Rates) Product Management team within the Corporate & Investment Bank. This role is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of Cash & Interest Rate Swap pricing, trading and risk management capabilities, including cash rates, derivatives , clearing, margining, and supporting infrastructure across the Macro Rates platform. The role partners closely with Rates Trading, Sales, Risk, Technology, Operations, Finance, and Control functions to ensure products are market‑aligned, scalable, compliant, and deliver measurable business outcomes.


In this role, you will:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of Macro Rates Cash & Interest Rate Swap products and capabilities across the full product lifecycle, from opportunity definition through delivery, adoption, and optimization
  • Define and maintain product strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned to Macro business objectives, regulatory requirements, and evolving market structure
  • Partner with Rates Trading and Sales to translate business needs into clear product requirements and prioritized delivery plans
  • Lead cross‑functional execution with Technology, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Control teams to deliver complex initiatives under Macro governance
  • Drive product discovery, requirements definition, and backlog prioritization using Agile delivery practices
  • Ensure all product enhancements meet risk management, compliance, supervisory, and control expectations, including model governance, and audit readiness
  • Evaluate industry trends, client needs, and competitor capabilities to inform product enhancements and strategic investments
  • Support governance forums with clear articulation of scope, dependencies, risks, and business outcomes
  • Monitor product performance using defined success metrics and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for Macro Rates products across internal stakeholder groups


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Securities Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in Product Management, Trading, Risk, or related roles within Capital Markets, Macro, or Rates businesses
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives in a regulated financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of Rates Cash & Interest Rates products, market structure, and trade lifecycle (e.g., cash rates and IRS products, pricing, risk management, trading workflows, etc.)
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into executable product plans and delivery outcomes
  • Experience partnering with Technology teams using Agile delivery models
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization
  • Direct experience supporting Rates Trading, Sales, or Risk functions
  • Knowledge of cleared and bilateral derivatives, margining, and regulatory frameworks impacting Rates businesses
  • Experience operating within formal governance and control frameworks (e.g., Audit engagement)
  • Familiarity with trading, risk, or post‑trade platforms supporting Rates products
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business impact and prioritize investment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field


Job Expectations:

  • Willingness to work on‑site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours as business needs require

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
