About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Macro Sales Specialist (ED-level) to join our Japan Sales team. Wells Fargo is looking to strategically grow its footprint with clients in FX and Rates globally and in APAC and this role is a key part of that initiative.

In this role, you will:

• Responsible for covering Japanese clients on FX and Rates products with a focus on Institutional Real Money clients
• Cross sell macro products to existing Wells Fargo Japan clients and build up Japan macro franchise
• Execute the coverage strategic plan set by management team to grow the APAC macro business in medium and long term by onboarding clients to the platform
• Deliver financial results and market share of our client franchise
• Develop and grow the current client base, develop strong partnership with our clients
• ​​​​​​​Proactively identify client opportunities for the current platform, provide feedback on customer demand and make recommendations to drive infrastructure build and product innovation
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal trading desks, as well as multiple internal partners, including Regional Management, Risk, Compliance, Products, and the Global Macro Sales and trading team.
• Operate with high diligence according to the internal risk and control framework

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• University Degree or advanced qualifications and equivalent experience
• Minimum 9 years of experience in an Institutional Sales role or a client servicing role, preferably in FX and Rates.
• Good knowledge of FX and Rates derivatives products and solutions including understanding of electronic distribution platforms
• Network of institutional clients in Japan
• Strong sense of urgency and commitment as well as a strong business sense with a strategic and tactical orientation.
• Good understanding of technological, risk and regulatory trends impacting FX business
• Ability to analyze data and use for decision-making and managing initiatives.
• Highest level of integrity and good judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong commercial judgement, excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Fluency in Japanese language
• Comfortable working in a matrix organizational environment and partnership skills.

• The incumbent will be expected to obtain and continue to hold any relevant licenses required to perform the responsibilities of the position.
