Reporting to the Associate Vice President & Global Commercial Lead (GCL) for Atherosclerosis, the Executive Director, International Marketing Lead will play a business critical role that will be instrumental in helping to drive success of a new franchise and establishing a long-lasting impact on the Company and the patients we serve.


The Executive Director (ED), International Marketing Lead own international launch success and growth trajectory of the atherosclerosis franchise by translating global strategy into measurable market execution & performance and accelerating patient impact. This role will also provide commercial input into pipeline development efforts to help support growth and leadership in the atherosclerosis space.


Market Engagement

  • Bridge between global strategy and market execution: Work closely with GCT markets, local CFTs, and regional teams to ensure alignment to the global commercial strategy and to support continuous improvement in execution and resource allocation
  • Being strongly connected to the EUCAN & IC Leadership Teams, this role will create organizational excitement, momentum, confidence and focus in atherosclerosis launches & portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (CMOs, RCLs, medical, policy, outcomes research, access, advocacy, etc.) to achieve shared objectives
  • Lead routine monthly BUD forum and have regulator interfaces with BUDs and Franchise Leads of GCT markets and with the RCLs, drives of cross-market acceleration
  • Represent the needs of the markets within key cross-functional global teams (e.g. LEAD, GFLS, V&I) and drive action at the global level to enable regional and local success
    Prepare markets for potential future franchise launches (FDCs, CVOT) and anticipated competitive entrants

Commercial Execution

  • Lead a successful launch preparation and strong on-going performance through L3 Commercial Way of Working, driving standardization and customization of plans across markets and regions leveraging Global L3Next
  • Supports refinement of forecasting assumptions to achieve appropriate ambition and provides feedback on global guidance and market assumptions to the GCL. Leads forecasting alignment process with global and markets
  • Owner of international performance consistency + scalability: Provides feedback on market and region readiness/performance to the GCL and International Leadership team, including recommendations for accelerating readiness/performance as needed
  • The IML will act as the primary commercial driver in the market, moving beyond internal launch preparation to drive opportunity spaces in the cardiovascular space.
  • HC Ecosystem & Guidelines: Champion & build workstreams for the integration of our key product into updated clinical practice guidelines. Partner with regional cross-functional teams to establish and enforce new LDL-C Quality Measures and KPIs within target health systems.
  • Clinical Inertia: Lead commercial central omnichannel customer experience that generate HCP urgency around early LDL-C treatment. Scale patient activation programs that drive meaningful, proactive conversations about achieving target LDL-C values.
  • Access & Payer Landscape: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure global pricing strategies translate into affordable, broad and early access in priority markets, removing systemic friction for prescribers.
  • Differentiation: Co-create, secure buy-in & execute scalable patient-journey acceleration initiatives across markets, drive pre-launch & early adoption
  • Ensures connectivity and awareness across global CFT and franchise team about external market environment dynamics, market opportunities, pre-launch KPIs and suggests actions to drive greater patient and business impact
  • Serves as a key member of the Asset Commercialization Team (ACT) and Global Commercial Team (GCT) to help shape and advance key strategic areas of co-creation between global and the GCT markets

Leadership Excellence

  • Forge deep relationships across the enterprise and especially across GCT markets and regions and becomes an integral, well-respected partner across the broad pharma commercial organization, including global, regional, and local markets
  • Serve as partner, coach, and mentor to franchises colleagues including in the GCT Markets and regions (e.g., Franchise lead, RCLs, etc.)
  • Embrace new ways of working that enable greater effectiveness, efficiency, and connectivity including AI, Agile, collaboration technologies, and embeds analytics into decision making

Education:
• Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: Advanced Degree (MBA)

  • Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 years of local, regional, and/or global commercial functions including marketing, product management, sales, market access (or equivalent roles) with P&L responsibility. Prior regional roles with demonstrated ability to drive business impact across therapeutic areas and/or markets.
  • Recent launch experience in the international markets

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Local/Regional Marketing Experience is preferred
  • Primary Care Marketing Experience is preferred
  • Cardiovascular Marketing Experience is preferred

Location and Travel:
• Approximately 30% of travel time internationally
