This position is responsible for :
i) heading the Family Office and Structuring Solutions unit within the Family Office and Wealth Advisory department, responsible for thought leadership and the development and enhancement of BOS’ family office and wealth planning offering and solutions to take into consideration client and industry demands and trends for solutions in relation to estate, succession, inter-generational transfer, family office, philanthropy and governance needs
ii) as part of the role, have client engagement responsibilities in advising clients on holistic family office and wealth planning solutions, playing a role in business development both with clients and stakeholders, internally and externally
Specific scope of work includes:-
• Leading a team of advisors having specialised responsibility in wealth structuring solutions (e.g. family office, governance, philanthropy),developing BOS’s offering in these area and curating the value proposition, positioning and delivery of such solutions to clients
• Provide senior wealth planning advisory services to clients including advising on Trust planning, Family office solutions, Philanthropic plans, liquidity plans and other related client needs .
• Provide thought leadership on the various wealth structuring issues and considerations, addressing media queries and representing BOS in branding, media and external communications
• Proactively build strong and trusting partnerships with Bankers and other specialists in developing solutions and servicing client relationships
• Presenting internally and to bankers on the various wealth structuring solutions and initiatives
• Attend meetings and lead discussions with clients, bankers and professional advisors with the view of assessing and delivering solutions to client needs
• Travel with bankers for client engagement and ensure all applicable law and regulations are complied with
• Contribute actively to achieving bank’s AUM, revenue and structure targets
• Conduct trainings and updates on Wealth Planning topics and solutions within the team and to bankers and other related stakeholders
• Develop network of professionals, legal and tax consultants, external advisors that builds an eco-system of service providers to meet the structuring and solutions objectives and client’s needs
Work Experience Requirements
• Generally, minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience
• Strong understanding of Wealth Planning, Family Office, Trust, Philanthropy solutions
• Track record of structuring and written and presentation skills for clients of relevant markets
• Knowledge of legal, tax and regulatory aspects in key markets and how these affect structuring of solutions. Well versed in wealth planning and family office structures and solutions used in key markets.
• Good stakeholder management, interpersonal, communication and client interfacing skills. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diversified base.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide cross section of stakeholders
Education Requirements
• Tertiary Education with a legal or tax / accounting degree
• STEP Qualified preferred
