This position leads a key priority area for the department, with responsibility for guiding a high-performing team in advancing strategic policy and stakeholder engagement initiatives that align with government priorities and contribute to the long-term strength of Alberta’s K–12 education system.

In this role, you will lead a team that works closely with school authorities, professional associations, post-secondary institutions, government partners, and other education stakeholders to develop workforce solutions. You have demonstrated success developing and maintaining effective relationships with large, diverse, and complex stakeholder groups, supported by strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to foster collaboration, build strategic partnerships, and navigate sensitive issues with sound judgment.

You will be relied upon to advance high-priority workforce initiatives related to recruitment, retention, strategic policy development, research, stakeholder engagement and long-term sustainability.
