As Executive Director, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, you’ll lead how Transport listens to, partners with, and works alongside communities across NSW - embedding customer and community voices into the decisions that shape our cities and regions.

Transport operates and continues build a complex, integrated transport system of infrastructure, services and networks that people rely on every day. Expectations from our communities have never been higher - and rightly so.

This role helps ensure the decisions we make at Transport are informed by community insight and that what we deliver reflects the needs and experiences of the people we serve.

In this role you will:

• Lead a large, geographically dispersed function - leading through leaders to set direction, shape a strong, inclusive culture, and build the capability to deliver high-quality engagement at scale
• Set the strategy, vision and direction for engagement across Transport - bringing clarity, consistency and ambition
• Advise senior leaders and government on critical issues and opportunities - operating at the centre of decision-making to align priorities and drive outcomes
• Orchestrate connections across projects, programs and issues/opportunities - aligning teams and stakeholders to deliver coordinated outcomes and shared success in a complex, matrixed environment
• Elevate engagement practice - setting enterprise standards, building capability and driving innovation and impact.

About you

• • You are a strategic and influential leader with a track record of elevating practice, strengthening capability, and delivering transformation at scale
  • You’ve led engagement or stakeholder strategy in complex, high-stakes environments
  • You’re an experienced in leading large, multi-layered teams - setting direction, shaping culture and driving outcomes through leaders at scale
  • You thrive in matrixed environments, building alignment across teams and stakeholders – actively seeking opportunities to partner for success and help your people and partners to look up and out
  • You influence at executive level, navigating issues, opportunities and competing priorities with judgement and confidence
  • You build strong, trusted relationships with communities, partners and across government.
