  • The Executive Director-Service Line functions in a dyad leadership role with service line physician partners to provide strategic, programmatic, and operational oversight of their assigned clinical programs across all SJHS regional sites of care. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall growth and development of the service line and its associated clinical programs including the development and execution of an annual operating plan. They work collaboratively across the continuum of care with health system leaders to achieve strategic and growth objectives as well as meet quality, safety, patient experience, operational, and financial goals.

JOB DUTIES

  • Provides system-level leadership and operational oversight for outpatient oncology services across Marshall and St. Joseph counties. Accountable for strategy execution, annual operating plan development and delivery, day-to-day operations, financial performance, quality, safety, access, and growth for medical oncology, radiation oncology, and infusion services. Ensures a coordinated, patient-centered care experience that keeps care close to home whenever clinically appropriate and supports seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings. Operates in a dyad/partnership model with employed physician leaders and collaborates across nursing, pharmacy, imaging, pathology, revenue cycle, care management, IT/analytics, and ancillary services. Serves as the operational relationship leader with Loyola University Medical Center for transplant and advanced/specialized oncology care, including referral/transfer workflows and shared-care coordination.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences required, master’s degree in business administration, Health Administration, or Science of Nursing, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification: CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days

  • Experience: At least 10 years of previous job-related experience required, including five years of managerial experience.
