Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE

The role of a Demand & Supply Planning Planner is to support the overall business, financial & supply chain management process by rigorous management of the demand signals for the various brands, product types and customer channels.

They will play a key role in the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by working with the multi-functional teams (namely Sales, Marketing and Finance) to assure tight alignment in the forecast (which will drive the supply, inventory & production plans) and financial plans.

DEMAND PLANNING

  • Drive monthly S&OP and forecast meetings with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensure robust process is in place to facilitate the 18mths forecast development of by SKU & aggregate forecast based on the brands intelligence from the multifunctional teams (eg incorporating latest promotion plans, in-market performance of the new launches, competitive activities, macro market trends, customers’ plans, trade inventory etc)
  • Lead forecast building block for New products & build baseline for Regular product range.
  • Maintain & update New products FG & POSM forecast tracker
  • Reconcile supply plan to demand plan to mitigate shortfalls and excess stocks situations for new launches, production related shortages or un-forecasted demand spikes
  • Analyse and highlight business risk and opportunity to stakeholders and jointly propose appropriate mitigation plans
  • Develop and prepare monthly forecasting files, S&OP and KPI reports
  • Maintain demand planning system and software
    - Maintain the Demand Planning Attributes & Master data, Monitor trends in forecast error & missed sales,
    Local Kits creation & tracking to ensure stocks are ready for sell-in

SUPPLY PLANNING

  • Plan rolling 15mths supply needs and execute procurement of finished goods from global suppliers
  • Manage Supply Issues including creating Inter-company PO, ASN, TP/FOB purchase prices
  • Facilitate local outbound documentations for Intra-regional transfers
  • Manage inventory to meet service/fill rate level in a cost-effective manner
  • Follow up on shipments for product launches and promos, expedite IVAS for urgent needs
  • Partner with key stakeholders regularly and communicate any updates
  • Provide & communicate Inventory analysis reports, Vendors’ & Customers’ fill rates, stock shortage risks with Brands’ stakeholders
  • Consolidate monthly purchase of Finished Goods & POSM for approval
  • Partnering with Sales & Marketing on prevention & management of SLOBs, identify aged & damaged or unconsumed inventory for clearance & write off approval
  • Support GKPI & maintain Forecast Tracker

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/Diploma holder in supply-chain or other relevant disciplines
  • Possess >3 years' experience in demand and supply planning
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and drive for excellence
  • High level of commitment and initiative, ability to work independently
  • Advance proficiency in MS Excel
  • Prior experience with SAP, IBP or other statistical forecasting tools is advantageous
  • Ideally from a multi-brand fragrance & beauty environment
  • Adaptable to undertake activities or new brands portfolio assigned
  • Participate in demand & supply planning projects
