The Role

Info-Tech Research Group is looking for an Executive Counsellor to join our Executive Services team in Singapore, advising, coaching, mentoring, and delivering strategic insights to IT Leaders across Singapore and the broader Asia region. The role exists to help CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and senior technology executives improve outcomes through better decision-making, risk mitigation, and thoughtful guidance as they navigate complex business, technology, and leadership challenges on the path to personal and professional excellence.

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience as a CIO, CTO, or senior technology executive, gained across IT, consulting, and/or research and advisory careers, and will be comfortable operating at CEO, COO, CFO, and board level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Executive Services exclusively to a portfolio of approximately 25–30 member accounts annually, as assigned
  • Facilitate high-value executive conversations that provide mentorship, challenge conventional thinking, and improve member decision-making.
  • Provide confidential executive advising, coaching, and peer mentorship to members, both in-person and virtually.
  • Evaluate members' needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy or work plan within the terms of the membership agreement
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and new ideas not “asked for” on behalf of the client's membership
  • Participate in regular communication, support, and account planning with Sales Leadership and Account Directors
  • Leverage Info-Tech Research Group and third-party assets to deliver on membership commitments
  • Diagnose member value expectations and pain points, and connect members with the appropriate Info-Tech Research Group product solutions
  • Provide statistical and summary reports reflecting service KPIs, continuous improvement, and progress against strategic and operational goals
  • Embrace Info-Tech Research Group's culture of continuous learning through ongoing self and industry development

Experience and Selection Criteria

  • Must hold valid rights to work in Singapore
  • Minimum of 20 years of senior IT leadership experience, including a proven track record advising, coaching, mentoring, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior technology leaders and executive teams through strategic, organizational, and leadership challenges.
  • Proven track record working directly with CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and executive boards on strategic and operational decisions
  • Experience based in Singapore is required; experience across Southeast Asia or the broader Asia Pacific region is a strong plus
  • Strong people relationship management skills, with experience leading and managing experienced team members, operational and systems development, business writing, financial budgeting, and management reporting
  • In-depth understanding of executive management roles, organizational politics, human behaviour, and predictive scenarios relevant to IT leadership
  • Ability to coordinate complex service delivery models and respond to the diverse needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional customer service focus, high professionalism, and adherence to ethical principles of conduct
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills; a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed but not expected
