Job Description

1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Executive / Executive, Business Growth & Marketing, is responsible for driving key marketing initiatives and building strong corporate relationships to support the hospital's growth objectives. The role includes executing strategic marketing plans, managing promotional activities, and enhancing service engagement with corporate clients. By identifying new business opportunities and fostering partnerships, the executive plays a crucial part in increasing patient numbers and hospital revenue. Additionally, the role may include duties as assigned by management from time to time.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

Marketing Support & Strategy Execution

  • Daily Marketing Activities

Support the Head in driving marketing initiatives that contribute to patient acquisition and overall revenue growth, in line with KPJ Klang's strategic objectives.

  • Business Opportunity Identification

Aggressively identify new business opportunities for the hospital, focusing on corporate clients, local companies, and local communities that align with the hospital’s strategic goals.

  • Promotional Campaign Development

Assist in the creation, coordination, and implementation of promotional packages and marketing activities (e.g., campaigns, health screenings, wellness programs) to attract new patients and corporate clients.

  • Marketing Performance Monitoring

Track and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns, quarterly performance of insurance and TPA referrals, corporate partnerships, and other marketing collaborations to ensure alignment with revenue and patient number targets. Provide reports on the effectiveness of these campaigns.

  • Competitor Monitoring

Regularly collect and analyze competitors’ data, including services, pricing, promotions, and business strategies. Provide insights into how KPJ Klang can maintain a competitive edge.

Corporate Client Relationship Management

  • Client Engagement

Establish, nurture, and manage strong relationships with existing corporate clients, insurance companies, TPAs, and local businesses. Act as the key point of contact for corporate clients, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally and in a timely manner.

  • Custom Solutions

Engage with HR teams, benefits managers, and corporate decision-makers to understand their healthcare needs. Propose customized services such as health screenings, wellness programs, and employee medical services that meet their requirements.

  • Client Feedback Management

Gather and process feedback from corporate clients regarding hospital services, pricing, or any issues that arise. Liaise with internal teams (e.g., billing, operations, clinical teams) to resolve concerns efficiently and maintain positive client relationships.

New Business Development

  • Corporate Client Acquisition

Actively identify and target new corporate clients to expand the hospital’s portfolio of services. This involves developing a thorough understanding of the local market and using insights to create tailored proposals.

  • Proposal and Contract Negotiation

Prepare customized proposals for corporate clients that highlight the hospital's offerings. Lead contract negotiations to ensure services are aligned with corporate clients' expectations and budgets.

  • Upselling and Cross-Selling

Identify opportunities to upsell additional services to corporate clients, such as expanding from basic health screenings to comprehensive wellness programs. Leverage corporate wellness initiatives to create long-term partnerships.

Event and Program Coordination

  • Corporate Wellness Programs

Collaborate with internal departments, clinical, and operational teams to design and execute corporate wellness programs (e.g., health screenings, wellness packages, teleconsultation, and vaccination drives).

  • Event Organization

Plan, organize, and manage corporate-focused events such as health talks, forums, workshops, and promotional exhibitions. Ensure these events align with the hospital's marketing objectives and successfully promote KPJ Klang’s services.

  • On-Site Services Coordination

Coordinate on-site healthcare services like mobile health screenings and wellness programs for corporate clients, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.

Corporate Branding & Communications

  • Brand Consistency

Support the Head of Commercial & Marketing in ensuring that all marketing materials, advertisements, and promotional activities adhere to the hospital's branding guidelines (Corporate Identity - CI). This includes reviewing and approving all content to maintain brand consistency.

  • Internal & External Communications

Assist in managing internal and external communication channels to ensure all stakeholders (corporate clients, local communities, expatriates, international agencies) are regularly updated with hospital services, promotions, and other relevant information.

Customer Experience Management

  • Service Quality Assurance

Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure that all corporate clients receive high-quality, timely healthcare services. Maintain a focus on delivering excellent customer experience at all touchpoints.

  • Issue Resolution

Handle any service-related issues or disputes raised by corporate clients (e.g., billing disputes, case reviews) by working with the relevant internal teams to resolve the matters in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Client Data Management

Maintain accurate records of corporate client interactions, service utilization, feedback, and follow-ups. Ensure that all data is well-organized and easily accessible for analysis and reporting.

  • Reporting and Analytics

Regularly prepare and submit reports to senior management on corporate account progress, including revenue generated, service usage, and market trends. Analyze data to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities for further engagement or improvement.

Other Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in any new services or initiatives introduced by the organization to ensure smooth implementation and contribution to hospital growth. 
  • Comply with all company policies, including health and safety policies, to maintain a safe and secure work environment. 
  • Ensure conformance to all relevant policies and procedures, including ISO standards (ISO 22000:2005, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004), OHSAS 18001:2007, HALAL requirements, and the Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards. 
  • Always Adhere to Standard Service Practice (SSP) guidelines to ensure quality service delivery and patient care. 
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal requirements related to hospital operations. 
  • Uphold and implement processes that support the rights of patients and their families during care, regardless of age, race, language, religion, or social status.  
  • Adopt and practice the Patient Safety Goals as recommended by the World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008), contributing to continuous safety improvement measures. 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the hospital’s operational and strategic goals.

3) JOB REQUIREMENT

Education:

  • Minimum: Degree in Marketing, Business Studies/Management, Mass Communication or any related discipline

Experience Required:

  • Minimum: At least 2- 5 years working experience, preferably in healthcare setting/environment
