Executive ‐ Compliance
Based at Activewear - Biyagama

Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the relevant point persons from each SBU and implement and improve compliance related activities whilst, proving advice and guidance as and when the need arises to ensure the effectiveness execution of same.
- Update the Compliance internal audit tool on an annual basis and conduct internal audits at each Divisions at least annually, preparing necessary reports and documentation and forwarding same to relevant individuals for their reference and perusal whilst, coordinating, scheduling all internal audits and inform relevant persons in order to ensure the timely completion of same.
- Facilitate the following audits by liaising with the external auditors and internal point persons to ensure the accurate and timely completion of same thereby obtaining the desired compliance standards:
- Customer audits.
- WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) Certification.
- Garments without Guilt (GWG) audits.
- Conduct training sessions on Labor Compliance as and when the need arises, for both Team Member and Executive and Management levels in order to enhance the knowledge of same whilst, facilitating the On boarding of new employees in order to establish adequate awareness amongst employees.
- Collect information from plants with regard to HRMAT(Human Resource Maturity Assessment Tool) and Over time data and collate reference reports on a monthly basis thereby, forwarding same to relevant persons (Internal and external) for their review and necessary action.
- Organize Annual Sustainability Business Quiz by coordinating with the relevant persons in order to ensure that the necessary services and needs are provided in an accurate and timely manner thereby, ensuring the smooth functioning of same.
- Prepare Nike SMP (Sustainable Manufacturing Performance) data report and share with the customer on a monthly basis, whilst updating SMP data in the SharePoint in order to ensure accurate information availability.
- Update the compliance intranet on a regular basis whilst, uploading relevant information with regards to audits etc. to factory database to ensure that relevant and accurate data is available at all times.
- Support the achievement of Silver rating of SMSI (Sustainable Manufacturing & Sourcing Index)for Nike Business Division (plants) by implementing HRMAT thereby, taking necessary initiatives to ensure the achievement of such standards.
- Ensure that the grievance procedure is adhered to for all grievances that are raised by employees, conduct initial investigations and draft relevant correspondences when required thereby, upholding business ethics and the level of integrity across the division.
- Cascade and facilitate the code of conduct whilst, raising awareness across the cluster whilst maintianing all documentation and assisting the Code officers for effective implementation of the same.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Business Management or Social Sustainability.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
