About the location:

The Four Seasons Hotel Taipei is a new build standalone 250-room luxury hotel with a total gross floor area of approximately 35,000m2 located in Xinyi District directly opposite Taipei 101, one of the most iconic skyscrapers in Asia. 

The Hotel will offer the very best in events, wellness, and leisure with myriad amenities throughout the 31-storey building. Dining venues at the Hotel will include a high-end Chinese restaurant, destination bar, specialty restaurant, all-day restaurant, pool bar and lobby lounge. Surrounded by expansive glass paneling on both sides of the floor-to-ceiling design allows guests to look out across the cityscape, as well as up at the incredible presence of Taipei 101. 

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Taipei is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations and deliver world-class dining experiences across our restaurants, banquets, in-room dining, and specialty outlets. This leadership role combines culinary excellence, innovation, people development, and business acumen to ensure the highest standards of food quality, guest satisfaction, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic culinary leader with extensive experience in both Western and Asian cuisines, bringing a strong understanding of diverse culinary traditions while driving creativity and consistency across all dining concepts. Experience in luxury hospitality pre-opening projects is essential, including menu development, kitchen setup, talent acquisition, operational planning, and the successful launch of food and beverage venues.

What you bring

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef within luxury hotels or high-end hospitality brands and experience in managing complex, multi-outlet food and beverage operations.
• Strong expertise in both Western and Asian culinary operations.
• Demonstrated pre-opening hotel experience, with the ability to establish and launch successful culinary programs.
• Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with a passion for mentoring culinary talent.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization.
• Commitment to innovation, food quality, sustainability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Gastronomy, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive culinary leadership experience within luxury hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants, or large-scale hospitality operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-performing culinary teams while driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken are required, and additional language skills are an asset.
• Exceptional leadership presence with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, develop, and retain diverse culinary talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Extensive knowledge of international cuisines, contemporary culinary trends, and advanced culinary techniques, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Proven expertise in menu engineering, recipe development, food costing, inventory management, and budget oversight, successfully balancing creativity with commercial performance.
• Highly creative and detail-oriented professional with the vision and expertise to curate distinctive dining experiences that reflect the standards of a world-class luxury resort.
• Outstanding organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, with a results-driven approach to achieving operational and financial objectives.
• Ability to lead with composure and decisiveness under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of culinary quality, consistency, hygiene, and food safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization and deliver exceptional guest-focused experiences.

Schedule & Hours:

• As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Executive Chef to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
