Position Summary

The Executive Chef is responsible for leading all culinary operations, creating and maintaining the restaurant's culinary identity, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation. This role oversees menu development, kitchen operations, inventory management, staff leadership, and compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate is a passionate culinary leader with strong operational expertise, creativity, and a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, and maintain innovative menus and recipes
  • Establish menu pricing and monitor food cost controls
  • Purchase food and supplies from approved vendors and manage inventory levels
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, consistently, and to brand standards
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with company standards and local health regulations
  • Hire, train, coach, and supervise kitchen team members, including sous chefs and line cooks
  • Lead daily culinary operations and ensure efficient kitchen performance
  • Stay current with culinary trends, industry innovations, and emerging food concepts
  • Introduce new culinary techniques, menu items, and presentation styles
  • Support kitchen staff with food preparation, recipe development, and execution
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment

Qualifications

  • Previous Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements
  • Proven experience in menu creation, cost management, and inventory control
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Passion for culinary excellence, innovation, and hospitality
