Mission of Role

The BIO Executive manages Custom Bond operations and nationwide dispatches, ensuring customs compliance for an alcoholic beverage company. The role oversees the supply chain for imported finished goods within India’s regulatory framework, including Customs, FSSAI, and international trade norms. It requires coordination with internal teams, external partners, bonded warehouse providers, CHAs, and government authorities to ensure timely and cost‑efficient execution.

Role Responsibilities

1. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Process duty‑paid, duty‑free, and bond‑to‑bond transfer orders based on allocations and approvals from Sales.
  • Verify annexures, checklists, and documentation to ensure correct calculation of customs duty and interest under the Customs Act, 1962 and Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
  • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation for all warehouse operations.

2. Inventory Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Reconcile physical and system inventory with customs records.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all types of orders—duty‑paid, duty‑free, and bond‑to‑bond transfers.
  • Prepare reports for internal and regulatory requirements.

3. Coordination with CHA, Logistics & Government Authorities

  • Work closely with Customs House Agents, logistics service providers, and authorities to facilitate movement of goods from ports to bonded warehouses.
  • Coordinate timely dispatches nationwide, ensuring regulatory compliance.

4. Bond Extension & FSSAI Management

  • Monitor bond validity and FSSAI expiry timelines.
  • Coordinate with Veritas for FSSAI revalidation.
  • Prepare bank guarantee documentation and liaise with bank teams for timely issuance.
  • Arrange bond extension applications, manage penalty payments, and ensure updates are circulated to Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Update extended bond details in the Veritas system.

5. Order Management & Dispatch Planning

  • Manage timely dispatch of orders across India from bonded warehouses.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely customs duty payments for duty‑paid orders.
  • Evaluate load feasibility, plan freight, and guide Sales on optimizing order quantities.
  • Lead contract renewals and commercial negotiations with CHAs and bonded warehouse vendors.

6. Labeling, MRP & Compliance Documentation

  • Arrange MRP and FSSAI stickers via Veritas and coordinate approvals with Legal and State Excise.
  • Organize analysis reports, original labels, attested licenses, and necessary documents (BOEs, COO, etc.).
  • Ensure all labeling complies with legal and state‑specific requirements.

7. Monthly Provisions & Vendor Coordination

  • Prepare monthly provisions for logistics partners, bonded warehouse charges, and customs duty interest.
  • Coordinate billing and vendor reconciliations.

8. Audit Support

  • Provide documentation and support for statutory, customs, and internal audits.
  • Respond to audit queries and ensure timely submission of required records.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Generally, 3-4 years in Customs Clearing and Custom bonded Warehousing operation
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of bonded warehouse regulations.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP and MS Office (Excel).
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to handle documentation, and good communication skills
