Job Responsibilities
* Process incoming and outgoing banknote shipments, including counting, sorting, and verification against accompanying documentation.
* Manage and reconcile daily cash balances within the Banknotes Centre, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
* Operate and maintain banknote processing machinery (e.g., counters, sorters, authenticators).
* Identify and report counterfeit banknotes or suspicious transactions in accordance with established procedures.
* Prepare and consolidate daily reports on banknote movements and inventory.
* Ensure strict compliance with all internal controls, security procedures, and regulatory guidelines related to cash handling.
* Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels of various banknote denominations.
* Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Treasury, Branch Operations) and external parties (e.g., cash couriers) regarding banknote logistics.
* Participate in periodic cash audits and stock takes.
* Maintain a high level of security and confidentiality in all cash handling operations.
Job Qualifications
* Minimum of a Diploma in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in cash handling, treasury operations, or a similar role within the banking sector.
* Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
* Familiarity with banknote processing equipment is an advantage.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
* Ability to lift and transport cash containers as required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
