Executive ‐ Autonomation ‐ Mechanical Engineering

(Based at Biyagama)

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to ensure the smooth functioning and maintenance of Autonomation projects within the plant whilst, providing necessary guidance in order to provide an uninterrupted service thereby,

facilitating factory operations.

• Oversee the Autonomation Projects carried out through Autonomation Centre in order to ensure the objectives and timelines are met whilst, performing the following duties:
• Engage carrying out PFMEA on the relevant projects and finalize the relevant specifications.
• Prepare 3D designs and animations for the prototypes whilst, designing and fabricating electronic circuits pertaining to Autonomation initiatives.
• Prepare the Manufacturing and electrical drawings required in a detailed manner and also compile the Mechanical and Electrical BOQs whilst, engaging in completing the procurement work of projects in an effective manner.
• Coordinate with the Internal Mechanical, Electrical teams, engage in carrying out prototype developments and commercialization of the automation projects.
• Coordinate and oversee the maintenance of Machines and equipment of the Autonomation Centre, Spare parts and Material Purchasing.
• Liaise with external integrators and consultants on developing work packages or turnkey projects in order to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor the weekly project plan and update the same in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure the Project deliverables meet the Health and Safety standards, Quality standards and complies with the necessary policies of MAS Active.
• Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group, company polices & procedures*, best practices (where the group, company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws and regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.
• Ensure that the safe machine development and purchasing process is adhered to and all the machines have their health and safety risks minimized to an acceptable level as per Safe Machine criteria of MAS KREEDA.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in overlook plant engineering function.
• Lean RBT‐F (for internal candidates).
• Time and project management skills.
• Good Analytical skills
