We are seeking a highly capable, internationally minded Strategic Projects Associate based in New York City to work directly with the Chairman and support key global business initiatives.

This is not a traditional administrative assistant position. The role is designed for a high-potential young professional with strong exposure to both Chinese and North American business environments, who can support the Chairman in strategic projects, international business development, executive coordination and cross-border initiatives across TIENS Group’s diverse portfolio, including biotechnology, health management, hospitality and tourism, education, e-commerce and finance investment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and international teams, gain direct exposure to global business operations, and help translate strategic priorities into effective execution.

Tasks

Strategic Project Management

  • Support the Chairman in tracking and coordinating key strategic projects, including international market expansion, cross-border investments and partnerships across TIENS Group’s biotechnology, health management, hospitality, education, e-commerce and finance investment businesses.
  • Monitor key milestones, deliverables and action items and ensure timely follow-up across different teams and regions.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to resolve execution issues and keep projects moving forward.

International Business & Cross-Cultural Coordination

  • Serve as an effective communication bridge between the Chairman, international management teams, business partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Support business communications, presentations, proposals and other executive-level materials in both English and Chinese.
  • Facilitate communication across different cultures, markets and time zones.

Executive Decision Support

  • Conduct research and analysis on priority markets, industry developments, business opportunities and relevant regulatory or competitive developments.
  • Prepare concise briefing materials, management summaries and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing for key meetings, negotiations and international business engagements.

Executive Coordination & Follow-up

  • Coordinate international meetings, business visits and overseas travel related to the Chairman’s strategic priorities.
  • Prepare meeting notes, action lists and follow-up plans and ensure agreed actions are properly tracked and closed.
  • Work closely with relevant internal functions, including Legal, Finance, HR and regional management, when required.

Special Projects

  • Undertake special assignments and confidential projects requested by the Chairman.
  • Support international coordination involving business operations, overseas teams, compliance or other cross-functional matters as required.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above from a reputable university; Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Ideally 1–3 years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, technology, multinational companies, international business or other fast-paced professional environments; experience in biotechnology, health & wellness, e-commerce or direct selling is a plus.
  • Strong exposure to the U.S. business environment, including familiarity with U.S. business practices, commercial law and e-commerce, is highly preferred.
  • Experience studying, living or working across both Western and Chinese/Asian environments would be a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Mandatory: native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, spoken and written, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally in both languages. This is a non-negotiable requirement for the role.
  • Working knowledge of S. law, business practices and e-commerce is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business judgment and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation and executive-level coordination capabilities.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with senior executives.

Mobility

  • Willing and able to undertake frequent international travel and work flexibly across different countries and time zones.
  • Appropriate travel and work authorization for the requirements of the role is preferred.
