Job Description

Ready to operate at the right hand of senior sales leadership, where your judgement, discretion and command of detail directly shape strategic outcomes, key relationships and commercial results?

At Abco, we are more than a supplier — we are a trusted partner to Australia's leading Business Service Contractors, Facility Management providers and industrial organisations. With over 25 years of industry experience and a national presence across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide, we are known for service excellence, reliability and strong long-term partnerships.

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to join our Sales team in Truganina, VIC. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our sales processes and enhancing team productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a keen understanding of sales dynamics, contributing to the overall success of our business.

As Executive Assistant to the Sales team, you'll support our Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers in managing and growing relationships with key accounts. This role focuses on seamless communication, efficient processes and exceptional service for Abco's most valuable customers — enabling the sales team to focus on building strong relationships, strategic planning and driving revenue and profit growth within their portfolios.

Responsibilitie

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sales Team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the Sales Team and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and organise sales databases, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Support the team in tracking sales performance metrics and preparing regular updates for management.

What Sets You Apart

  • You anticipate what your leaders need before they ask
  • You handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • You have a sharp eye for detail and accuracy
  • You understand the importance of speed in execution
  • You take pride in being the person leadership and the team can rely on
  • You don't just complete tasks — you create confidence

What We're Looking For

  • Experience preparing, tracking and standardising client quotes or proposals
  • Strong Excel skills — confident with formulas, pivot tables and building reports/dashboards from sales data
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills more broadly (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • Strong organisational skills and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines with accuracy
  • A proactive, accountable and team-oriented mindset
  • How You Align With Our Values

At Abco, our values define how we work and how we show up every day. If this role feels right for you, you'll recognise yourself in who we are:

    • We Not I — You believe success is a team effort and support shared outcomes.
    • Fast Fix — You focus on solving problems properly the first time.
    • Own It — You take responsibility and see tasks through to completion.
    • Always Hungry — You're motivated to grow and continuously improve.

    What We Offer

    • Growth by Sharing (GBS) — Uncapped Bonus Program
    • When Abco exceeds its profit targets, the additional profit is shared with the whole team — with no cap. Once you complete probation and demonstrate our values, you’re in. This is a genuine profit-sharing program designed to build a shareholder mindset: long-term thinking, continuous improvement, and shared success.

    How to Apply

    • If this opportunity sounds like the right fit for you, please submit your resume and cover letter. We look forward to welcoming a new member to the Abco family.
