Contributes to the overall success of the Office of the President, Quebec. Ensures the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations through meeting coordination, invoice and expense management, travel planning, and administrative support.
Provide administrative support to the Office of the President, Quebec, requiring discretion, confidentiality, technical and business vocabulary, and detailed knowledge of organizational operations, procedures and people.
Gather, compile, verify and analyze information for use in documents such as memos, letters, reports, speeches, presentations and news releases.
Perform tasks using independent judgment and discretion, e.g., prepare documents and presentations; screen and respond to correspondence, requests and calls; draft letters; arrange and attend meetings; take and distribute minutes.
Monitor, review and approve standard expenditures to ensure the activities of the office are conducted within established budgets. Manage variance analysis and ensure monthly alignment.
Manage travel plans.
Support the Grow Quebec department initiatives.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations aligned with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF/sanctions risk and conduct risk.
