The Executive Assistant for the Jones College of Business Advising Center provides comprehensive operational, administrative, and student services support for undergraduate advising initiatives. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and campus partners; coordinates advising center operations and student-facing services; manages complex advising-related processes; develops communications and outreach efforts; maintains student records and reporting functions; and supports events and strategic initiatives that promote student success, retention, and timely degree completion. The position exercises independent judgment in interpreting university policies and procedures, resolving routine student concerns, coordinating multiple priorities, and ensuring the efficient daily operation of the Advising Center.
High school diploma or high school equivalency.
Three years of progressively responsible administrative, program coordination, or higher education experience. Note: A Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of the experience requirement. An Associate’s degree (two years of college coursework) combined with one year of related experience, may also be considered.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience supporting academic advising or student services.
- Experience with Banner, Degree Works, MT Source, CRM systems, or similar student information systems.
- Experience planning events and coordinating programs.
- Supervisory or lead work experience.
- Experience preparing reports and analyzing data.
CAP/CPS preferred.
