
Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a PreK2–8th grade Catholic school in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a full‑time Executive Assistant to the Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a 12‑month, exempt, benefit‑eligible position that requires punctual, daily attendance at the school. During the school year, the contracted hours are Monday–Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m During the summer months, the position requires a minimum of 20 in‑office hours per week, established by the Principal.

Essential Functions
Administrative Support & Executive Assistance (40%)
Maintain the Principal’s calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
Assist the Principal and Administrative Team with projects, tasks, and operational needs.
Attend meetings with the Principal and, when necessary, represent the Principal at meetings.
Record, organize, and distribute detailed meeting minutes and follow‑up items.
Assist with the preparation and review of documents requiring the Principal’s signature.
Place orders, coordinate purchases, and perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Human Resources & Personnel Management (25%)
Coordinate onboarding paperwork for newly hired employees and maintain personnel files.
Assist with the preparation of employment contracts in collaboration with the Principal and CFO.
Maintain accurate records of employee leave.
Maintain records regarding employee certifications, licensure, and compliance requirements.
Assist administration and office personnel in coordinating substitute coverage when necessary.
Calendar & School Operations (10%)
Maintain and update the school’s master calendar.
Coordinate calendar planning with school administration, parish staff, athletic programs, the band director, and the Home & School Association.
Manage all facilities‑use requests and maintain facility‑usage schedules in collaboration with the facilities director.
Coordinate with affiliated parishes and churches to schedule priests and celebrants for monthly school Masses and special liturgies.
Compliance & Archdiocesan Relations (15%)
Review, organize, and monitor communications from the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Vet information and communicate important deadlines and updates to the Principal.
Assist with the completion and submission of required reports, surveys, assurances, and compliance documents for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), and other applicable agencies and organizations.
Communications & Documentation (10%)
Position Qualifications
Minimum of three years of administrative or office management experience preferred.
Experience in a school, parish, or nonprofit setting preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and office technology.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Strong organizational, project‑management, and time‑management skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Pay Range: $23.56 - $25.24, Hourly
