Your Role:

EMD Serono in Billerica, MA, is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of Discovery and Development Technologies (DDTech). In this position, you will deliver high-level administrative assistance to the SVP in the US and ensure the office operates smoothly. The Executive Assistant will manage a variety of administrative and executive support tasks, working independently with minimal supervision. Confidentiality, professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment will be essential, along with the ability to proactively anticipate needs and offer solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage the SVP’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements, prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents, handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, team calls, and mail.
  • Meeting Coordination: Plan, organize, and coordinate meetings, conferences, and events. Prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items. Ensure the SVP is well-prepared for meetings with relevant materials and information.
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of projects and initiatives led by the SVP. Track progress and provide updates on key projects and deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the SVP and internal/external stakeholders. Build and maintain positive relationships with key contacts and departments.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion. Maintain professionalism and a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Maintain a close collaboration with the Executive Assistant based in Darmstadt

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of administrative experience supporting senior level management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience working across time zones (domestically and globally)
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in social media versatility: experienced in both creating and capturing engaging content for various platforms, with strong text-based communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • German language skills

Pay Range for this position: $35.00 - $53.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
