Job Description

The Office of Government Affairs is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Senior Vice President (SVP) and assist the staff. This is a visible position in a fast-paced environment that demands a high degree of professionalism, polish and diplomacy. The candidate will regularly interact with C-Suite executives and senior leaders and will perform a broad range of office management and administrative tasks in a high-profile location, to include but not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage SVP’s calendar/scheduling, preparing correspondence, coordinating meeting logistics, preparing expense reports and coordinating travel, meeting coordination, managing office supplies, and other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the executive and effectively communicate and coordinate with leaders and administrative professionals across the enterprise.
  • Manage multiple and competing requirements with efficiency, attention to prioritization, detail orientation and execution.
  • Facilitate meetings and events involving senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of agendas, materials, and logistics.
  • Prioritize and carry out special projects and complex assignments as needed, exercising frequent independent judgment and initiative.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma and 5+ years of administrative support experience for a senior level executive.
  • Must possess an approachable demeanor with an ability to interact and relate well with both external and internal contacts at all levels, up to and including Corporate Executives and Elected Officials.
  • Exceptional professionalism, discretion, judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Requires flexibility to accept additional assignments as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound decision-making and prioritization ability, and attention to detail
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the ability to coordinate complex executive meetings
  • Advanced level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of projects on a timely basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Executive Assistant or Capitol Hill Scheduling / Administrative Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with Leidos, government relations and/or government contracting industry.
  • Experience with Concur travel management and expenses, Prism, and Workday.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
