Job Description

  • Seeking a highly organised and adaptable Executive Assistant to provide administrative support across the Commission.
  • Clerk Grade 3/4 with a salary range of $87,199 - $95,482 plus superannuation and leave loading.
  • Role based in our Sydney Office with hybrid working options available

The Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission is an independent statutory body established under the Greyhound Racing Act 2017. The Commission is responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of greyhounds, safeguarding the integrity of greyhound racing and betting, and maintaining public confidence in the NSW greyhound racing industry.

As a trusted, fair, firm and impartial regulator, the Commission plays an important role in supporting a safe, compliant and sustainable greyhound racing industry in NSW. Our work is focused on high standards of welfare and integrity, effective regulation, intelligence-led decision-making and strong stakeholder engagement

About the role

The Executive Assistant role is a key point of coordination for the Director Integrity & Reg Operation, ensuring their time, priorities and commitments are effectively managed.

In this role you will:

  • Manage calendars, meetings, travel arrangements and correspondence.
  • Coordinator agendas, briefing materials, presentations and meeting papers.
  • Prepare minutes, action lists and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Maintain efficient administrative systems, records and processes.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the executive officer.

About You

We’re looking for a capable and adaptable Executive Assistant who can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining exception attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience providing high-level administrative or executive support.
  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Use initiative to anticipate needs, resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Build positive working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Exercise sound judgement, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and office management systems.
