The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
professional to provide executive-level support for the development and implementation of the Kentucky Medical
Cannabis Program (KMCP), specifically focused on education and outreach initiatives for law enforcement across
the state. This pivotal role involves developing public outreach goals, aligning them with the KMCP mission,
and ensuring that law enforcement is well-informed and prepared to engage with the medical cannabis program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Kentucky Medical Cannabis Program (KMCP) education and outreach initiatives tailored to law enforcement.
  • Align education and outreach goals with the mission and objectives of the KMCP.
  • Participate in policy development, ensuring that educational strategies are in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate existing industry education training programs and provide data-driven recommendations to support continuous quality improvement for law enforcement education.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of educational initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed to enhance program outcomes.
  • Deliver presentations and conduct training sessions for law enforcement agencies, industry partners, and other stakeholders to ensure widespread understanding and compliance with KMCP regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between CHFS, other state and federal agencies, and partners to coordinate and enhance the law enforcement education aspect of the KMCP.
  • Plan and coordinate law enforcement education programs, operations, and functions related to medical cannabis, ensuring seamless collaboration across organizational lines within CHFS and other relevant entities.
  • Oversee the logistics of education and outreach activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with key stakeholders.

Candidate should possess:
  • Strong understanding of law enforcement operations and public policy, particularly in the context of medical cannabis.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic outreach and education initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple organizations and agencies.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable recommendations.
