The Department of Neurosurgery at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), in partnership with the Boston Pediatric Neurosurgical Foundation, is searching for an Executive Administrative Director (EAD). This position provides executive leadership and operational oversight for one of the nation’s leading pediatric neurosurgical departments.
As the first pediatric neurosurgical service in the world, the department has delivered innovative care to children requiring complex surgical treatment for neurological conditions for nearly a century. The team provides comprehensive surgical care for children with disorders of the brain, spine, and nervous system, completing more than 1,000 surgeries and 7,500 outpatient visits annually. The department is deeply integrated across BCH, contributing to numerous multidisciplinary centers and clinical programs.
This role calls for a strategic, engaged leader who will partner closely with physician leadership to drive performance across all aspects of a high-acuity, high-complexity surgical department.

Boston Children's Hospital is a 404-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care. As one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States, Boston Children's offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age. (Our services can begin interventions at 15 weeks gestation and in some situations we also treat adults.)
We have approximately 25,000 inpatient admissions each year and our 200+ specialized clinical programs schedule 557,000 visits annually. Last year, the hospital performed more than 26,500 surgical procedures and 214,000 radiological examinations.
