Who we are looking for

We are seeking a highly accomplished sales professional to join State Street Markets’ Execution, Financing and Clearing division. The Execution and Prime Solutions Sales, Vice President will originate new business and deepen existing client relationships across APAC, covering Execution platform sales together with a growing cash and synthetic Prime Brokerage product.’ The execution platform product set includes electronic trading, currency management and outsourced trading solutions, alongside TRS, Cash PB, Securities Lending and Repo trading. The ideal candidate will bring deep market expertise, strong industry relationships, and a proven track record of delivering commercial results.

When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to SSM. As our investment research and trading arm, SSM’s primary goal is to enhance and preserve clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading and linking asset classes and markets around the world. This position sits within State Street Markets’ Execution, Financing and Clearing division, which spans high-touch and electronic trading, outsourced trading, currency management, agency lending, prime services and secured financing.

What you will be responsible for

As an Execution and Prime Solutions Sales, Vice President, you will:

• Execute the Asia Pacific sales strategy across Execution and Prime Services Solutions
• Drive revenue growth by developing and managing a strong pipeline through new business origination and collaborating with internal partners to generate referrals and cross-selling opportunities. Expand client relationships while maintaining accurate forecasts and achieving sales and performance targets.
• Originate new business across currency management, cash equities, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, and physical and synthetic prime solutions.
• Partner with client management, trading, product teams and adjacent businesses to present a holistic view of execution, financing and clearing solutions, and drive cross-selling across Agency Lending, Repo, Charles River, FX, custody, collateral management and additional client solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments and competitive dynamics to identify new client opportunities and provide market insight to product and business partners
• Partner closely with Product, Trading, Client Management, Onboarding, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations and other stakeholders to deliver an exceptional product experience and high-quality client solutions aligned with the firm’s strategic and risk objectives
• Ensure comprehensive and consistent delivery as client needs evolve, measuring success through market share capture, client satisfaction and relevant industry rankings.
• Represent the firm with clients, prospects and industry organizations across Asia Pacific, and develop thought leadership through tactical and strategic marketing plans.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of sales experience in equity and fixed income trading, prime brokerage, including physical and synthetic products, or related financing markets, with demonstrated success in institutional client origination, revenue growth and strategic business development.

• Strong understanding of global multi-asset-class market structure, best execution standards, order management systems, and related functionality.
• Previous experience in sales and trading, OMS/EMS, FIX connectivity, or other aspects of equity and fixed income trading.
• Established relationships across the financing ecosystem, including asset owners, asset managers, hedge funds, and other key market participants.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions in dynamic, fast-paced and volatile market environments.
• Professional fluency in Mandarin is required.
• Type 1 licenses required
• MBA or CFA preferred.

Additional requirements

• Travel up to 50% may be required
• Full time in office role with flexibility to accommodate frequent travel
