
Drive end-to-end Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) operations globally - lead controls, manage exceptions, partner with key stakeholders, and support new product launches.
As a Senior Associate in the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) Middle Office team you will support our growing International ETF business. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily end-to-end operational processes specific to ETFs and for coordinating effectively with multiple external vendors and service providers. You will manage and resolve queries from a broad set of internal and external stakeholders - including Portfolio Managers, Traders, the ETF Platform, ETF Capital Markets, and other operations teams - and will contribute to the review, build, and launch of new and innovative ETFs, alongside broader change and project initiatives.
The ETF Middle Office team is spread across EMEA/US/India/HK/Australia/Taiwan, providing operational coverage across ETF trade lifecycle events which interacts across all asset classes. The global team oversee a growing business with an AUM of $366bn and ambitions to reach $1tr and remain the number 1 active ETF issuer.
Job responsibilities
Own end-to-end onshore delivery of daily BAU operational workflows, key controls, and stakeholder query management across the ETF lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes
Lead exception management by investigating breaks, documenting root cause and evidence, driving remediation, and escalating issues with disciplined judgment to maintain control integrity
Coordinate and oversee offshore BAU execution by setting daily priorities, monitoring timeliness and quality, reviewing outputs and exceptions, providing constructive feedback, and escalating blockers/risks to protect delivery
Maintain rigorous controls and governance through consistent evidence capture, control performance monitoring, and proactive risk identification aligned to operational and regulatory expectations
Support service provider/vendor oversight by monitoring service delivery, challenging root-cause analysis, coordinating remediation plans, and executing risk-based escalation to safeguard service quality
Partner with stakeholders to drive outcomes by communicating clearly, aligning on ownership and timelines, and ensuring exceptions are resolved as part of daily delivery
Manage new and innovative ETF launches by supporting operational readiness planning, operating model design, UAT/testing coordination and post-launch reviews
Change management and project delivery by defining requirements, mapping processes, tracking dependencies/risks and partnering with Technology and Operations to deliver enhancements
Drive continuous improvement in BAU by applying structured problem-solving to standardise processes, automate where appropriate, strengthen controls, and improve scalability for growth
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Experience in Middle Office, Operations, Trade Support or Fund Operations roles within an asset management or broker-dealer background
Experience in overseeing off-shored activities
Understanding of all asset classes
Strong judgement and attention to detail, with an investigative mindset and the ability to balance BAU delivery with robust controls, documentation, and timely escalation
Proven problem-solving track record, including troubleshooting operational issues, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions through end-to-end ownership of resolution
Highly organised and resilient, able to manage multiple concurrent workflows, prioritise effectively, and deliver consistently under pressure
