Clermont Open Cut, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. Reporting to Mining & Mining Support Supervisors, we have multiple vacancies for the following:
Experienced Shovel Operators
Experienced Excavator Operators
To be successful in these roles, you will have the ability to safely and confidently operate at least one of the following:
Hitachi 5600 / 5500-6 / 3600
P&H 4100 XPC
As an Operator at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment
Performing the full range of mining tasks to meet production targets
Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Clermont Open Cut values
Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders and community; and
Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.
Additional requirements for the role:
Current Standard 11 Induction (desirable)
Current Coal Board Medical (desirable)
Verified Training Transcript/Skills list
Current Australian Driver’s License
Right to work in Australia
Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture
The ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a dynamic, changing environment
Be a team player with a high level of safety awareness
Most importantly, a positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to working proactively
