Excavator Operator job profile

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Excavator operator to apply for different companies in Slovenia!

As an Excavator Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining excavators to perform various tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, and moving materials on construction sites. Your role will involve following project plans, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and collaborating with the construction team to meet project deadlines.

Excavator Operator duties and responsibilities

1. Cleaning the construction site, including the removal of the topsoil.

2. Digging trenches according to project specifications.

3. Excavating base stations in the ground.

4. Very precise and careful work with the excavator around the base stations.

5. Lowering the base station into the hole.

The excavator operator must be precise, well-trained, qualified, and extremely careful when performing such work. There is enormous pressure in the pipes – as in a gas pipeline – so any damage can cause serious problems.

Backfilling the pit and restoring the terrain to its condition before the work began.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators to perform excavation, trenching, and grading tasks according to project requirements.
• Interpret construction plans and markings to determine the location and depth of excavation.
• Safely manoeuvre the excavator in tight spaces and around obstacles on the construction site.
• Inspect and maintain the excavator to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate excavation activities and meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Excavator Operator requirements and qualifications

• minimum 5 years of experience as a excavator
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry.
• Valid excavator operator certification or license.
• Knowledge of excavator operation techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and markings.
• Physical stamina to operate the excavator for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in excavation tasks.
• Trailer truck driving experience is an advantage
• Team player with good communication skills to coordinate with the construction team

• Salary: competitive salary - 40 hours a week, b onuses for work results after 6 months;
• Working hours: cca174 - 185 monthly
