Ledcor is hiring experienced Excavator Operators to support the construction of high-speed telecommunications infrastructure.
This is a long-term career opportunity that will require travel every 4 weeks around Nevada and surrounding states.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operate excavators for trenching, backfilling, grading, and utility installation
Excavate safely around existing underground utilities power, and telecommunications lines
Read and interpret utility locates, site plans, and construction drawings
Assist crews with conduit placement, cable installation as required
Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required maintenance checks.
Assist with general construction duties when equipment operation is not required
Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate daily activities
Qualifications:
At least 5 years’ experience operating excavators in utilities or construction environment
Experience with fiber optic or underground utility installation preferred
Ability to read construction drawings and utility locate markings
Knowledge of utility locating practices and safe digging procedures
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift upto 70 lbs. and perform construction-related tasks
Work Conditions:
Monday to Friday working from 7 am to 3pm, working 8 hours per day, overtime rates apply after 40 hours worked per week
