We are seeking a dedicated Excavation Health & Safety Engineer to support safe delivery of extensive earthworks, trenching, and excavation activities within a high‑profile hospitality project in AlUla Working closely with the H&S Manager, you will help ensure that all excavation operations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and environmental protection.

• Support the H&S Manager in implementing the project’s Health & Safety Plan, with a focus on excavation and earthworks activities.
• Monitor daily site operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, and excavation safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of trenches, shoring systems, access/egress, and equipment used in excavation works.
• Assist in hazard identification, risk assessments, and method statement reviews for excavation‑related tasks.
• Verify that protective systems (shoring, benching, sloping) are installed and maintained correctly.
• Ensure safe coordination between excavation teams, plant operators, and adjacent work activities.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action implementation.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings related to excavation, confined spaces, and ground stability.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and inspection records.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage safe behaviors across all site teams.
  

• 5+ years of experience in construction site safety, ideally with a focus on excavation, earthworks, or civil works.
• BSc in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
• Strong understanding of excavation hazards, shoring systems, and safe work practices.
• Experience working on large‑scale infrastructure or hospitality projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Middle East safety regulations; Saudi experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence safe behavior on site.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are beneficial
