Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time EWD Welding Instructor on our Beaver Dam Campus. The primary teaching responsibility for this position will be for classes in the Welding area, including various welding processes, blueprint reading, short-term training for boot camps students, incarcerated individuals and industry clients. This instructor may be asked to teach at various sites within the Moraine Park District to include campus, regional centers and business locations, area correctional facilities and may be required to teach on days, evenings and weekends. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs. In addition, this position will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner’s classroom and career goals.
The successful candidate will have an associate degree in a related field (or equivalent experience or willing to obtain an Associate Degree from an accredited program. Progress toward an Associate Degree will be measured through the successful completion of a minimum of three (3) credits of coursework annually, beginning with the third year of employment.) and two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years. In lieu of this one year of recent experience, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered. (Two years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight semesters of part-time teaching or four semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.

Hiring Range: $62,659-$72,684 - 178-day year-round contract
