Banner Baywood Medical Center, has a great opportunity for a Housekeeping EVS Lead . In this role, you'll not only perform essential environmental services tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, but you'll also serve as a key leader on the EVS team. As a Lead, you'll guide and support team members, coordinate daily cleaning operations, ensure quality standards are met, and act as a resource for problem-solving and training. This position combines hands-on cleaning responsibilities with leadership duties, making you an integral part of both patient care and team success.
Schedule: 11pm - 7:30am, 40hrs wk., weekend and holiday included. Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential
Banner Baywood Medical Center is a 342 bed hospital serving the health care needs of the dynamic and growing East Valley communities of metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. We provide complete acute care services and outpatient services to include but not limited to cancer, stroke, women's health, rehabilitation, emergency medicine and surgery. Our Emergency Department treats a variety of ailments and offers advanced treatment areas, with 68 beds, seeing over 50,000 patients per year. We are certified as pediatric prepared as well as designated as a Trauma level 3 emergency room. In addition, our comprehensive orthopedic unit is one of the nation’s premier orthopedic programs. This position provides leadership and training for environmental services associates, while working as a member of the EVS Associate team.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Requires the skills, knowledge and abilities in healthcare environmental services work typically acquired over two or more years of related work experience. Must have leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must serve as a role model to others in customer service skills, safe work practices, and infection control including hand hygiene. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
Basic computer skills in word processing and electronic mail are preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
