EVS Heavy Duty Porter (Overnight)Department: Environmental Services (EVS) Pay: Starting at $17.50/HR Shift: Overnight

DESCRIPTION

The EVS Heavy Duty Porter is responsible for performing specialized and heavy-duty cleaning throughout all areas of the property to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, team members, and visitors. This role focuses on deep cleaning, carpet care, and high-maintenance cleaning tasks, primarily completed during overnight hours when the facility is closed or less occupied.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation include:

  • Practices, supports, and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC

  • Maintains a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and proper usage

  • Assembles and prepares necessary materials and supplies from the storeroom

  • Cleans assigned areas including furnishings, equipment, and floors using approved solutions and disinfectants

  • Performs heavy-duty and high-maintenance cleaning tasks throughout the shift

  • Completes deep carpet cleaning in offices, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces

  • Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and safety regulations

  • Performs all cleaning assignments in a timely and efficient manner

  • Returns equipment to the storeroom and ensures all tools are cleaned after use

  • Properly disposes of or places soiled rags and mops in designated areas

  • Reports mechanical issues or unsafe conditions through proper maintenance request procedures

  • Assists with training new team members as needed

  • Demonstrates outstanding guest service and positive team member relations at all times

  • Maintains a neat, clean, and professional appearance

  • Attends required meetings and training sessions

  • Performs other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

  • Must be 19 years of age or older

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred

  • Previous cleaning or EVS experience preferred; resort or casino experience strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of cleaning products and appropriate applications

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification

WORK HOURS

Due to the nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work varying schedules, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Gaming License: Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License

  • OSHA 10 Certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Valid Driver’s License preferred

This position is not responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages and does not have comp authority.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is not required for this position.

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

This role requires frequent physical activity including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and prolonged movement throughout the property. Team members may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, loud environments, dust, secondhand smoke, and varying temperatures while maintaining high attention to detail and safety standards.
