Summary:
The EVS Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the casino, including gaming areas, restrooms, back-of-house areas, and public spaces. This position plays a critical role in upholding the casino's standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Greeting guests with a smile on the gaming floor in a friendly courteous manner.
- Responsible for cleaning all Slot machines, restrooms, floors, windows, walls, stairs, elevators, and public spaces according to department procedures.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces using manual and powered cleaning equipment.
- Circulate throughout assigned workstation on a continuous basis, greeting guests with a smile and courteous manner.
- Responsible for cleaning offices, Team Member EDR, BOH bathrooms, hallways, walls, stairs, elevators and any other requested areas according to department procedures.
- Empty and disinfect trash receptacles and ashtrays; dispose of waste in accordance with safety regulations according to departments policy and procedures.
- Replenish supplies in all restrooms per housekeeping procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and spills or hazards in public areas.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
- Greeting guests with a smile on the gaming floor in a friendly courteous manner.
- Interacts on occasion with guests while cleaning. Assisting guests as needed.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns to supervisor and the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations, as well as internal polices and procedures.
- Ensures all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily
- Ensure all linen rooms and working areas are neat, clean, and organized.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Preferred limited to no experience required.
- Previous commercial cleaning or hospitality experience is a plus
- Must have excellent customer service skills, guest service oriented.
- Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure.
- Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed.
- Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment, with varying lighting and air quality (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential contact with biohazards (with proper PPE)
- Interaction with guests who may be under the influence of alcohol.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
