Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary
The Events Team Office Assistant supports community engagement at Chapman Grand by planning and implementing programs and events available to all Chapman Grand residents. Events should provide opportunities for residents to connect with one another while supporting social engagement, education, wellness, and an overall sense of community.

Events Team OAs are responsible for the full programming process, including planning, budgeting, marketing, event execution, and assessment.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement social, educational, and wellness-focused programs for Chapman Grand residents.
- Manage event logistics from start to finish, including planning, purchasing, setup, execution, and cleanup.
- Manage assigned programming budgets and maintain required purchasing documentation.
- Create flyers, signage, and digital marketing to promote programs and encourage resident participation.
- Track attendance, maintain program records, and gather feedback to assess events.
- Collaborate with Chapman Grand staff to create inclusive and engaging opportunities that build community and resident connection.

Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process.

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with event planning, student organizations, programming, or campus involvement.
- Experience creating flyers, promotional materials, or using Canva.
- Strong creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Interest in event planning, community building, and creating engaging experiences for students.
