Events and activations are the heartbeat of Bloomingdale’s with huge momentum and growing demand from both internal stores and external clients and vendors. The Events Specialist will support the Director of Special Events with essential business administration functions to support the creation of impactful events and activations centrally to ultimately flow through the stores organization. This role will support the central event strategy and will also help to elevate and expand local events to flagship, hub, and community store formats.

Essential Functions

Event business administration support, specifically including:

  • Vendor event pitch deck creation and follow up to help raise participation, funding and engagement from key brands
  • Event marketing support (fill out brief templates, scheduling, coordinating cross functional teams, reviewing conceptshare edits, sharing out to internal teams, vendor approvals)
  • Organize and maintain central event calendars and masterlists for key stakeholders
  • Create internal event communication templates, evites and handout templates, recap templates
  • Regularly maintain event recaps, best practices, and photo library
  • Rio - .COM event listings
  • Support local event teams by working with merchant teams to help pull sales figures for major national events
  • Central budget support/recapping/ROI
  • MAS vendor set up support with business office
  • Eventbrite page creation and management
  • FedEx sign template management

Qualifications

  • 4+ years direct experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, exemplary organization, attention to detail, and effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event calendar and Company needs

Physical Requirements

  • Hybrid work model that includes in-office and in-store requirements
  • Occasional support with event execution, which requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
  • Occasional prolonged periods of sitting
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Occasional lift/move up to 25lbs
