As the company behind the world’s most influential university ranking, and with almost five decades of experience as a source of analysis and insight on higher education, we have unparalleled expertise on the trends underpinning university performance globally. Our data and benchmarking tools are used by many of the world’s most prestigious universities to help them achieve their strategic goals and our events series act as the home of higher education thought leadership around the world.

We are seeking part-time administrative and marketing support to assist with our Asia-based events. This role will help manage day-to-day communications, support customer enquiries, coordinate payment issues, and strengthen our outreach to Chinese and wider Asia audiences via key social media platforms.

Key responsibilities

1. Event administration & customer support

– Manage WeChat enquiries and event inbox queries for our Asia events, including attendee questions, basic customer service, and routing queries to the appropriate team members.
– Support Asia-based participants with payment or registration issues, liaising with our internal team when escalations are required.
– Assist with general event-related administrative tasks (e.g., updating records, tracking responses, preparing simple communications).

2. China market & social media support

– Manage and update the WeChat account with event promotions, announcements, speaker and agenda releases, and participant communications.
– Create and format WeChat posts using Xiumi H5 for professional post typesetting and presentation.

– Coordinate posting schedules, respond to basic queries, and ensure all event information is kept current.
– Explore and recommend additional China-focused channels, platforms, and outreach approaches to improve event visibility and engagement.
– Provide insights and suggestions on how we can strengthen our presence and reach within the Chinese market.

3. General marketing assistance

– Support simple marketing tasks related to Asia-region events.
– Assist with translation of short messages or posts (if bilingual/trilingual).
– Help coordinate local freelancers or vendors when required.

Requirements

– Based in Singapore, with familiarity and comfort working across the region.
– Strong written communication skills.
– Experience with WeChat account management and Xiumi H5 is highly preferred.
– Bilingual or trilingual: English + Mandarin required; additional languages are an advantage.
