Events Manager, Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre

Tennis NSW manages Ken Rosewall Arena (KRA) at Sydney Olympic Park, overseeing both venue hire and day to day operations. KRA is an award winning, multipurpose arena, suitable for year-round use and is the home of the United Cup Sydney, Pulse Alive Sydney, Street League Skateboarding Sydney and the NSW Swifts and Sydney Sirens Netball Teams

About the role

As the Events Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of a diverse calendar of events at Ken Rosewall Arena and the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional event experiences, venue readiness, strong commercial outcomes, and safe, compliant operations

In this role you will be responsible for

  • Managing the delivery of events, functions and venue bookings across Ken Rosewall Arena and SOPTC

  • Overseeing event operations, venue readiness and financial administration

  • Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, operational efficiency and customer experience.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding events.

  • Leading and developing the Events Coordinator and casual event staff and fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have demonstrated experience managing events and venue operations within a complex or multipurpose venue environment.

  • Possess strong event planning, administrationand financial management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Be a confident people leader with experience supervising staff, contractors and stakeholders to achieve successful event outcomes.

  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-focused under pressure.

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of workplace health and safety, event safety and emergency management practices.

  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Working from theSOPTC office and be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with event requirements.
