The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Event Manager working at the forefront of the events and hospitality industry in a fast-paced creative environment. As an experienced and creative event professional, you will manage a portfolio of events from gala dinners, conferences and conventions to local and national exhibitions, concerts and theatre performances.
The successful applicant will be a dedicated, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a passion for the industry and possess a strong desire to succeed and develop.
What you'll do
The Event Manager is responsible for successfully coordinating and planning a range of large-scale events and for fostering effective stakeholder relationships. The right candidate will share the vision and direction of the business and represent the highest focus to customer experience, to drive improvement and promote efficiencies.
This role demands a naturally energetic and flexible individual who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and has proven capacity to work well under pressure and to strict rolling time lines.
Exceptional Communication skills are critical as the bridge between all departments and our clients as well as the ability to identify operational challenges and ensure compliance to venue policies and procedures.
What you'll bring
Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role in a large hotel or convention centre
Recognised qualifications in Event / Hospitality Management will be an advantage
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with people at all levels
Demonstrate effective time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
A good understanding and interest in high-end food and beverage products and service standards
Demonstrate agile decision making and a positive approach to tasks with a strong desire to achieve excellence in all that you do
Experience with Momentus (Ungerboeck) is desirable.
