Job Description

To plan, organise and execute a wide range of events for the organisation, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional experiences for attendees

To oversee all aspects of events management, from conceptualisation and budgeting to vendor management and post-events analysis

To collaborate closely with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and objectives, while remaining abreast of industry trends to enhance service offerings, driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence in all aspects of event delivery

  • Contribute to the planning and operationalisation of event strategies aligned with organisational objectives to drive engagement and achieve desired outcomes
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualise, plan, and execute a diverse portfolio of events, including conferences, seminars, product launches, and corporate functions
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and allocation of resources while maximising ROI
  • Source and negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and service providers to secure optimal pricing and quality
  • Obtain the necessary sign-offs and partner with cross-functional teams i.e., procurement to finalise arrangements
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, transportation and accommodation if required
  • Coordinate with the wider Marketing community to develop promotional materials and ensure effective pre-event marketing campaigns
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance event experiences i.e., event management software, virtual event platforms, and audience engagement tools
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential issues and ensure the safety and security of attendees
  • Evaluate event success through post-event analysis, including attendee feedback, financial performance, and other key performance indicators
  • Continuously assess and improve event processes and procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, vendors, and industry partners
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the events team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event management to drive innovation and stay ahead of the curve
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and build strategic partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all aspects of event management
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences, both internal and external, verbally and in writing
  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver exceptional results
