Events Lead - Job Description

The Events Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing corporate events that align with organizational objectives and enhance brand presence. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to deliver seamless experiences across diverse event formats.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution Develop comprehensive event strategies that support business goals and marketing initiatives. Lead end-to-end event planning from concept development through post-event analysis, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Stakeholder Management Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, communications, sales, and leadership to understand event objectives and requirements. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, venues, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful event delivery.

Budget & Resource Management Develop and manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors and venues, and optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI. Track expenses and provide detailed financial reporting for all events.

Logistics Coordination Oversee all logistical elements including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, registration systems, transportation, accommodations, and on-site staffing. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accessibility standards.

Marketing & Communications Work with marketing teams to develop event promotional materials, manage registrations, and create attendee communication plans. Leverage digital platforms and social media to maximize event reach and engagement.

Performance Analysis Establish KPIs and success metrics for each event. Conduct post-event evaluations, gather stakeholder feedback, and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Experience 5+ years of progressive experience in event planning and management, preferably in a corporate or commercial real estate environment. Proven track record of successfully delivering events of varying scales and formats.

Education Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field. Professional certifications (CMP, CSEP) are advantageous.

Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility including evening and weekend work during events. Travel may be required for off-site events and venue inspections. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods during events and occasional lifting of event materials.
