
The challenging position of Events Coordinator is currently available within the Events Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in tasks and coordinating details for convention groups, corporate and social events, as well as selling, organizing and overseeing local functions, whilst ensuring and exceeding customer satisfaction. The person holding this position will support the department in running in the most efficient and effective manner, and achieving budgeted targets for the year.
This role calls for an organized and mature person, who will also need to be a great team player. The person will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing accounts through regular correspondence, site inspections, show-rounds and written communication. Other tasks will involve keeping the operational team well informed of upcoming events, accurately updating the hotel sales and catering system as well as participating in catering and sales meetings.
