Job Description

Events Coordinator
If your idea of fun involves color-coded spreadsheets, ambitious fundraising goals, and pulling off events that make people say "Wow," keep reading.
The Archway is seeking an Events Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of fundraising and donor events that generate revenue, deepen relationships, and increase awareness of our mission.
This is not a position for someone who wants to simply reserve banquet rooms and order centerpieces.
This is a fundraising role.
You will be directly responsible for helping generate revenue that supports survivors and advances our mission. Every sponsor secured, auction item procured, donor stewarded, and event executed contributes to real impact in our community.
No pressure.
Actually, a little pressure. But the right kind.
The Opportunity
The Events Coordinator serves as a key member of the Development team and works closely with the Director of Giving, Chief Philanthropy Officer, Director of Communications, sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.
You will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of some of our most visible and important fundraising events. You will own the details that make events successful while never losing sight of the bigger picture: raising money, building relationships, and advancing the mission.
Who You Are
You are highly organized, relentlessly proactive, and exceptionally detail oriented.
You notice when something is missing before anyone else does.
You can manage multiple deadlines, competing priorities, and dozens of moving pieces without losing your cool.
You are comfortable asking businesses for sponsorships, donors for support, and vendors for discounts.
You understand that fundraising events are not really about the event.
They're about people.
You enjoy meeting new people, building relationships, and creating experiences that make donors want to stay engaged long after the event is over.
You can:
  • Build meaningful relationships with sponsors and community partners
  • Secure auction items and in-kind donations
  • Manage event logistics
  • Communicate professionally with a wide variety of audiences
  • Balance creativity with execution
  • Solve problems quickly when things don't go according to plan
What Makes This Different
The Archway's Development team is ambitious, collaborative, and deeply committed to the mission.
We believe fundraising should be strategic.
We believe donors deserve exceptional stewardship.
We believe details matter.
And we believe events should do more than look beautiful; they should produce results.
You'll have significant ownership over your work, opportunities to build meaningful community relationships, and the chance to see the direct impact of your efforts on the people we serve.
But this role will stretch you.
There will be early mornings, evening events, last-minute changes, unexpected challenges, and ambitious goals.
You will spend some days negotiating sponsorships, some days organizing auction packages, and some days carrying boxes in professional attire while simultaneously answering text messages from vendors.
If that sounds oddly exciting, we'd love to talk.
Qualifications
Compensation is competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits package, generous PTO and holiday schedule, and the opportunity to be part of a team committed to changing lives every day.
