Job Title: Event Assistant Coordinator
Department: School of Medicine Alumni and Development
The Event Assistant Coordinator helps the Development and Alumni team at Case Western Reserve University with all parts of planning and running events. This role is for a student who wants to help behind the scenes and on-site to make sure every event is a success. You will help us find event supporters, talk to donors, and make sure our guests have a great experience.
Key Responsibilities
Special Projects for Events
Goal-Oriented Tasks: Work on various projects designed to improve and benefit our upcoming events.
Research: Look into new ideas, venues, or community partners that can help our events grow.
Planning Support: Assist with the early stages of project development to ensure every event has what it needs to succeed.
On-Site Event Support
Setup and Greeting: Help set up event spaces, staff the registration table, and greet guests as they arrive.
Event Logistics: Stay on-site during events to help with any needs and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Campus Errands: Carry out various errands across the CWRU campus to pick up or deliver event materials.
Gaining Event Supporters
Finding Donors: Reach out to local businesses and partners to find supporters and donors for event prizes.
Increasing Attendance: Help get more people to attend by sending friendly reminders and making follow-up calls.
Local Promotion: Help spread the word about events to the campus and the local community.
Saying Thank You: Help write thank-you notes and find simple ways to recognize the people who support our events.
Technical and Office Tasks
Office Technology: Use standard office software and tools to help organize event details and communications.
Flexible Work: Complete event prep tasks in the office or remotely depending on the project needs.
Pay: $15 per hour
